WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

in Ille et Vilaine

I grew up near Nantes, in Loire Atlantique. I then discovered photography, then wedding photography, in Brittany, since I covered my first weddings with a Breton photographer. Today, I regularly come back to Brittany to cover weddings, among others, in Rennes, Saint-Malo or elsewhere in Ille-et-Vilaine.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES IN ILLE ET VILAINE

For my wedding services, I propose to the brides and grooms who contact me three main formulas of 6h, 9h or 12h of presence on the D-day, which allows me to answer most of the needs of the brides and grooms, whatever their wedding planning is. Of course, these formulas are sometimes rethought during the exchanges with the bride and groom if they have particular wishes.

I believe that good communication with the couple is essential to the success of the service: it allows them to confirm their wish to work with me (my approach or my working methods may not suit everyone!) and to elaborate the service that best suits their wishes.

I strive to deliver the photos to the bride and groom within three weeks of the wedding. The photos are made available via a private online gallery. I also send to the bride and groom a box containing a USB key and some prints. On my side, I do not publish any photo until the reportage has been validated by the bride and groom, so that they confirm their agreement for the use of the photos in my communication.

MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
IN ILLE ET VILLAINE

I started my job as a wedding photographer in the Côtes d'Armor, and then had the opportunity to come and work in Ille-et-Vilaine, especially near Saint-Malo or Rennes. I now travel throughout the department for weddings or sessions.

MY APPROACH TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I was trained in wedding photography by my own wedding photographer, so her working methods rubbed off on me, and her working methods are precisely the reason why I wanted to work with her in the first place. I think I strive to be the kind of photographer I was looking for as a bride-to-be!

I firmly believe that the most successful photos are those where the photographer and the models are comfortable and confident in each other's presence. This is why I place so much importance on having discussions with the bride and groom before the wedding. Some couples are reassured and have no more questions after a single exchange, others need more time to feel confident: I adapt to everyone's needs! The wedding photographer is one of the most important people at the bride and groom's side on the big day, so it is essential that they see him as an ally, a friend, someone to lean on and to ask for advice if necessary.

On the technical side, I work essentially in reportage mode, i.e. by letting the bride and groom and their guests act as they wish, and by capturing moments of complicity or emotion. I sometimes guide the bride and groom on specific photo series, such as couples sessions, which can be a daunting exercise. Besides, everyone needs a little guidance to be reassured when it comes to do something you've never done before, such as having pictures of you taken on one of the most important days of your life ! The majority of my photos are in colour, although I love black and white when the mood of the photo and the subject lend themselves to it.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN ILLE ET VILAINE

I grew up just outside of Brittany, where I often went with my family on weekends and vacations. I discovered photography on the beaches of Brittany (in the Côtes d'Armor, to be precise!) and continued to take pictures throughout my teenage years. Photography remained a hobby in parallel with my education and my first years of work.

I came back to Loire-Atlantique for my wedding. My wedding photographer being from Brittany, when she accepted to take me with her on some of her weddings, it is naturally in Brittany that I accompanied her. The region has seen my first steps as an amateur photographer and then as a professional. My first weddings took me first to North Brittany: North Finistère and Côtes d'Armor.

Today, my job obviously brings me to work in the area of Nantes, where I am originally from, but also in all of Brittany: from the Côtes d'Armor that I know well, to the Finistère whose landscapes I love, Morbihan or Ille-et-Vilaine.

BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST WITH THE COUPLE

Every contact with a couple starts with a meeting: at my home (which gives me an excuse to make cakes) or by telephone. These talks are essential for me to understand the wishes of the bride and groom, but above all to ensure that they feel confident with me. It is impossible to commit to such an important service without taking the time to check that we are all on the same wavelength!
