DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I work all over France accompanying brides and grooms, but Brittany has a special place in my life as a photographer. I took my first photos on the beaches of the Côtes d'Armor, and then returned there for the very first weddings I covered alongside the photographer who trained me. Breton landscapes made me love photography, and I never forgot this first love!
HOW I CAME TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
As a child, I was always bored in class. I was a good student yet I had no interest in what I was learning. On the other hand, when it came to creative hobbies, I dabbled in everything and anything, getting hooked on drawing, painting, writing and music. In the midst of this somewhat chaotic succession of passions, photography gradually imposed itself, even if it remains for me a hobby that I don't for a minute consider turning into a profession.
Everything changed at my own wedding. In contact with my photographer, I discovered this particular universe. This encounter came at a pivotal moment in my professional life: I felt out of place and was looking for a way out. She offered me a way out through wedding photography. I owe my conversion to her patience and encouragement.
I liked the job right away because of what I immediately found: independence and a creative dimension completely absent from my previous work. Over the years, other aspects of wedding photography have strengthened my conviction that I'm (finally) in the right place: the social aspect which is essential in this job; the entrepreneurial dimension of a profession that requires you to be a craftsman, an accountant, a lawyer and a communicator altogether; and of course the never-ending learning of photography I'm deeply passionate about.

HOW I WORK AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
My role with couples is multifaceted. Of course, as a photographer, my main aim is to create beautiful images. But this work relies on the quality of the relationship of trust forged with each couple. A wedding is an emotionally-charged day, and I believe that to capture them as effectively as possible, it's essential to create a bond of trust and connivance with the bride and groom.
My aim is to create both images that are spontaneous and fun but also more posed. I'm convinced that it's possible to create ambitious photos and poses with the bride and groom, while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and lightness that reflects what a wedding should be all about: fun and joy. I'm constantly training myself to be able to guide the couples I work with efficiently, while creating photos that are both spontaneous and posed depending on the moment of the day.
Over the years, I've drawn up a number of documents that I use as a basis for the preparatory discussions that go into designing each couple's reportage. Weddings follow a similar pattern, but each event has its own color and atmosphere, which I try to convey in my images.
