My Parisian studies left me with a taste for Hausmannian façades, for people dressed too well on café terraces and for chiaroscuro created by streaks of light on an old wooden floor.
I accompany lovers all over the Ile-de-France, from the Paris region to the cobblestones of Paris.
MY STYLE IN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
My first love in photography was light. Having grown up near the sea, my first subjects were landscapes bursting with wind, salt and sun. When I came to study in Paris, I learnt to love everything that makes up the soul of Parisian streets: the crowded cafés with their rattan chairs, the polished knockers on high entrance doors, the outdated décor of private mansions or the silent atmosphere of the Louvre carrousel in the dead of night.
Paris gave me a taste for architecture, chiaroscuro and renderings of old paintings. When my brides and grooms choose estates with interiors that allow this kind of rendering, I love creating those images to bring variety to the reportage, photos that seem to be suspended between different eras. My wedding photos combine bright, cheerful photos of laughter on a terrace with the muted chiaroscuro of an old wooden floor lit by a ray of light or a window draped in heavy curtains.
When it comes to wedding coverage, I move from a pure reportage approach that captures spontaneous emotions and recounts the laughter and joy of the day, to a more editorial approach, particularly for the bride and groom's couple session and their getting ready moments. Their wedding is an opportunity to immortalise them in a more elaborate and artistic way, to give them images they will be proud of and which will also help tell the story of this beautiful day. The aim is for each wedding gallery to capture the atmosphere of the day and the love story of those who made it happen.

MY APPROACH AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
On the big day, the aim is to capture the atmosphere of each event as fully as possible. To achieve this, my work is based on two objectives.
The first is to produce a variety of shots to ensure that the report is exhaustive. The thousands of little details that can be photographed on a wedding day tell the story of all the moments that shape the day.
The second objective is to create photos that reflect the personality and wishes of the bride and groom. To bring their colors into their wedding photos.
Before the wedding, I work in collaboration with the couple. Using the various media that I have created and that I make available to them, we discuss every aspect of the wedding day so that I know exactly what is important to them and how they want their wedding to be immortalised. I put my experience and expertise at their disposal to guide and direct them on the timing of the day and the type of image we will create together.
A relationship based on trust and good communication is essential to the success of the wedding reportage, particularly when we go for editorial shots with the bride and groom during their couple session. The preparatory discussions help to create a climate of trust and exchange that will form the basis of my work on the big day. Because getting people to pose and feel confident is an apprenticeship that never ends, I'm constantly learning, through reading and training, to be a guide and a source of help and advice for the couples I work with in order to create ambitious images while maintaining in the lightness that should characterise a wedding.

HOW I FELL IN LOVE WITH PARISIAN WEDDINGS
When I was a student, getting married in Paris seemed absurd. I'd grown up in the countryside, and I couldn't imagine a dream wedding anywhere other than on an estate flanked by a huge park. It took me several years as a wedding photographer, and the discovery of chiaroscuro and the beauty of a private mansion to create images, to imagine Paris as the dream setting for a wedding.
Today, I love the atmosphere that the City of Light can offer for a couple session in the Paris region, or for an entire day of festivities. The solemnity of a portrait in front of a high window with velvet curtains, an antique parquet floor or a monumental staircase; the timeless style of a bride laughing out loud as she holds her dress while her heels pound the pavement on the way to the town hall - Paris rubs off on the images of those who marry there, and it's all the soul of its 19th century that floods the wedding pictures of Parisian lovers.
