wedding photographer

in Meurthe et Moselle

I officially started working as a professional wedding photographer when I arrived in Lorraine, during the 2020 containment (blessed be my excellent sense of timing). Today, I travel through the region to accompany the bride and groom especially near Nancy.

WHY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

As a kid, I insisted on trying lots of activities: singing, piano, flute, drawing, painting - watercolor, oil painting, in notebooks, on vases, on walls - different dance styles with the same inadequate coordination, I even did the circus - believe me, you may regret not seeing me on a trapeze, imagine a penguin to which a harness would have been put on. I am passionate about each of these activities for at least two weeks before abandoning them. Despite my best efforts, I keep doing that even now. In the midst of all this, photography is gradually making a place for itself. If I abandon it regularly like my other passions as intense as ephemeral, I always come back to it as a child, then as a teenager. At the time, however, I did not imagine at all that it could one day become a profession.

Here comes my wedding. My own photographer makes me realize it's not just another job. It might actually be something I could do, though she does warn me so many people try to get a job out of wedding photography, and so few of them actually manage to make a living out of it. She agrees to take her time to answer my questions, encourage me, train me, in short, I owe her this job. I finally officially launched myself as a professional photographer when I arrived in Lorraine.

I try to be, for the newlyweds entrusting me with their memories, the photographer I was looking for at my own wedding. I strive to be benevolent, open, and to create photos which are of course beautiful and qualitative, but above all reflecting the personality and sensitivity of each marriage. Photographing weddings is like relieving a specific kind of day regularly, though I discover new colors and feelings each time as I meet different people and unique love stories.

MY APPROACH IN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

When I started to carry a camera constantly in my bag, I began to realize a truth of which I remain firmly convinced: it is impossible to fully live a moment while trying to freeze it on a picture. These are two different intentions: either you fully appreciate what you have in front of you or you seek the best angle of view and far too quickly, the moment has passed.

I believe in the necessity of my profession because I think that these lost moments will never be returned to us, and that it is important to delegate the role of immortalizing them so we can appreciate them to the fullest during a day that is already passing by very quickly.

I accompany the newlyweds as I would like to be at each important stage of my life: by being caring and listening to their wishes in order to create photos that truly mean something to them. Beauty alone isn't enough : if looking at a picture doesn't remind you of a time and place of happiness, I do not believe you'll truly cherish ii, even though it might be by any technical aspect perfect. I also believe that magnificent photos can be taken with lightness, so I always go for the most spontaneous approach possible. I often guide couples by making suggestions but I always try not to constrain them. My goal is to bring them to be as they would be without my presence.

For the report to meet the expectations of each couple, I complete a service specification over the exchanges with the bride and groom to create authentic and personal memories on D-Day.

A first exchange obviously does not commit you to anything!

Nancy's Place Stanislas : a must-have for wedding photos

When I discovered Nancy, I instantly fell in love with the Place Stanislas and that love remained intact through the years. Built in the 18th century, the Place Stanislas is now pedestrianized and offers a magnificent, light-filled setting that I systematically suggest to couples for their photos. I am indeed trying to sell the Place Stan to people getting married in Brittany, that's how much I can be obsessive over places I like. If you're getting married in Nancy, I wish you sublime photos in this timeless setting.

MY SERVICES IN MEURTHE-ET-MOSELLE AND IN LORRAINE

My activity was born in Lorraine and I launched my activity en Meurthe-et-Moselle  which naturally leads me to work a lot there. I already had the chance to discover some magnificent places thanks to past or future weddings: the Clos de Lorraine, the Abbaye des Prémontrés, the Castle of d'Haroué, of Art-sur-Meurthe, Vandéléville or that of Hattonchâtel. Others, such as Castle Ernest, Castle of Boucq or that of Saulxures-les-Nancy are on my list of places to see (soon, I hope!). I travel throughout the Lorraine - MoselleMeuse and Vosges- and even elsewhere in France according to the desires of couples who entrust me with their photos.

Journal

I've always loved writing - I've been very active in the wonderful world of Fanfiction for years - and I wanted to link these editorial inclinations with my taste for photography. I write about my services, about the world of marriage, I share thoughts, the fruit of certain research I have done on several aspects of photography... I welcome you in this joyful mayhem!
