WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
IN BRITTANY
I grew up in Loire-Atlantique, near Nantes, but I started photography on the beaches of Brittany, and I was trained in wedding photography by a photographer also from Brittany! Today, I travel around the region as a wedding photographer.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES IN BRITTANY
I accompany each couple in the elaboration of their photo service during various exchanges in order to establish a bond of trust based on communication and transparency.
As far as photo services are concerned, I have three main packagings I suggest to future brides and grooms. These packagings vary according to the number of hours of presence on the D-day. Then, as the planning of the day becomes more refined, we validate together one of these three packages, or a customised one when the bride and groom have particular wishes: brunch the day after, wedding over several days, Day After in a specific location, etc. My photo services start at 1700€, plus travel expenses if necessary (these expenses are obviously discussed and validated along with the photo service with the bride and groom).
The photos are given to the bride and groom via an online gallery two to three weeks after the wedding. I also give them a wooden box engraved with their names, containing some prints and a USB key. I don't publish any photo until the bride and groom have validated their gallery.
MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
in Brittany
As I often come to Loire Atlantique, Morbihan and Ille-et-Vilaine are the departments I know best, but I also work in Finistere and Cotes d'Armor where my first weddings as a professional photographer took place!
MY APPROACH TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The way I work as a wedding photographer mirrors what I was looking for as a bride-to-be. I know, having experienced it myself, how much a wedding day can become a maelstrom of emotions, shared between joy, excitement, stress, grief sometimes, nervousness, anxiety, etc. It is normal to live every moment very intensely going through a day we have prepared sometimes for months, even more than a year for some brides and grooms!
You don't realise it until you're living it, but your wedding photographer is one of the most present people at the bride and groom's side on their wedding day. I have seen, as a bride and as a photographer, how important it can be to have someone attentive and caring by your side on a day as intense as a wedding. In order to minimise the stress or anxiety of the bride and groom, I talk to them as much as necessary before the wedding in order to gradually create a bond of trust and communication, which is essential for me to be by their side in the most efficient way possible on the big day.
As far as photo technique is concerned, I prefer spontaneous and natural photos (people are infinitely more at ease when we don't ask them to do poses that they would never do naturally). The only time I am more present to guide the bride and groom is during the couple sessions, where it is often reassuring to have someone who "knows how to do it" to be able to relax and enjoy the moment!
BRITTANY IS WHERE I STARTED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
When I came back to Loire-Atlantique for my wedding, I met my photographer: Amandine, based in Brittany. I called her when I suddenly realised that I wanted to quit my job and explore the possibility of becoming a professionnal wedding photographer.
Amandine agreed to train me and took me with her to my very first weddings, which took place in Brittany. These first events were the best school to learn what wedding photography really involves : photographic skills of course but also the pressure and the responsabilité to guide a couple and to be in charge of the memories they'll keep for this very important day. Those weddings also made me realize how much I would like to do this for a living (and the long way I still had to go to become half as good as Amandine).
When I started working on my own as a wedding photographer, I did it for free. My very first wedding took place where I myself got married, near Nantes. I than had the opportunity to come working in Brittany. Whether it was during my training or later as a professional photographer, I attended beautiful weddings by the water in the landscapes of my childhood: on the Ile-de-Batz in Finistère, but also in Quimper, or near Vannes.

TRUST AND COMMUNICATION
Every contact with a couple starts with a meeting: at my home (which gives me an excuse to make cakes) or by telephone. These talks are essential for me to understand the wishes of the bride and groom, but above all to ensure that they feel confident with me. It is impossible to commit to such an important service without taking the time to check that we are all on the same wavelength!
